At WestPeak Financial, our goal is to provide honest and objective financial advice to everyone, not just those with established wealth. We believe we can empower people to achieve their financial independence by providing financial education and tailored guidance to help them build the knowledge and confidence that they can achieve their financial goals. We do this by having an open and honest conversation with each client to understand their values and what financial success looks like to them. We help them identify their financial goals, lay out a path to help achieve short-term and long-term targets, and provide ongoing guidance along the way. Whether you're starting a new job, getting married, starting a family, or planning for a major life event, WestPeak Financial can help you along your journey.
The Journey to WestPeak Financial
In 2020, after spending 17 years of working with institutional investors and their advisors, WestPeak Financial's Founder and CEO, Colin Heaney, decided to carve a new path in the financial industry and work directly with individual investors. But after 3 years of affiliating with broker-dealer firms, he realized the traditional financial service model was outdated and not addressing the needs of his clients. With asset minimums and investment service requirements, many individuals were unable to get access or the advice they were seeking to help build their financial future.
As a result, in 2023, Colin founded WestPeak Financial and created a new service model: To provide financial education, financial advice and investment services that benefits the client, not himself or the company, and their unique financial situation.
Colin Heaney
Founder & CEO
Colin Heaney is the Founder and CEO of WestPeak Financial. Colin has over 20 years experience in the financial services industry working with institutional investors and individual investors in portfolio creation, risk assessment and cash flow analysis.
Prior to founding WestPeak Financial, Colin worked as an account manager at various firms including Merrill Lynch, BlackRock and PIMCO. In 2020, he would transition to working with individual clients at Fidelity Investments and Ameriprise Financial before founding WestPeak Financial. He holds a B.A. in Business, Financial Management from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. Colin was raised on the Jersey Shore, where he resides with his
wife, Christine, and two children Aidan and Eagan. He is a former DIII lacrosse player at The Catholic University of America and volunteer youth lacrosse coach. Colin is an avid college football fan who enjoys traveling with his family, attending Rutgers and Colorado football games and spending time outdoors in the Rocky Mountains.
